Winning two previous World Performance Car awards and one World Car Design of the Year award, the Audi R8 now has the fine distinction of being the most successful model in this history of the World Car Awards, because it was named 2016 World Performance Car at the 2016 New York International Auto Show, bringing this model’s World Car Award total to four. The Audi R8 definitely deserves its laps around the winner’s circle. When it’s equipped with its top engine option, the R8 gets 610 horsepower, taking it from 0 to 62.1 mph in 3.2 seconds at a maximum speed of 205.1 mph. That’s barely enough time for you to say “woosh.”
