The New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) is a huge event in the automotive world, and for our favorite four-ring automaker, the 2017 NYIAS marked the North American debut of the 2018 Audi RS 3 for North American audiences. The Audi RS 3 is the first compact Audi sedan to be granted the RS badge, which really only hints at the performance power and fine-tuned driving mechanics lurking under that sheet metal.

If the 2018 Audi RS 3 could wear skin, its muscles would be rippling beneath it. That’s thanks to the beefy 400-horsepower, 2.5-liter TFSI® five-cylinder engine and its standard S tronic® seven-speed automatic transmission. That gives this little performance sedan a sprint time of 3.9 seconds from 0-60 mph. But performance stats aren’t the only special aspect of the Audi RS 3 sedan:
